Feed Wordpress plugin violating copyright of contents?

Feed Wordpress plugin is used to syndicate RSS Feed and use the contents syndicated as any other posts in a blog. A question that I would like to ask, does syndicating contents from another blog and use them as any other posts or contents for my own blog, considered violating copyright of contents of the original author?

When using the syndicated contents, the original author of the articles is named as a contributor of that posts. Credit is given to the author but no permission was granted by the author to publish the contents. Is this a violation of the copyrighted contents? It looks very much like a crime has been committed here. I never thought of it this way before, until it was highlighted to me. Since then I have removed my Feed Wordpress plugin.

The proper way to use a content from another blog is to quote the content and link it to the original source with proper credit given to the author. This will ensure no violation of copyrighted contents.

To play it safe, write your own contents. By the way, search engines prefer original contents and may just give your blog a better ranking.
