I have been very busy lately and it is hard to keep myself motivated to pursue my dream to work from home. When I am too busy with my work at the office, I tend to forget my dream.

The only thing in my mind is to get my work done. My dream is tucked away in a little corner of my mind.

I have watched The Secret movie and I can say to achieve my dream, I must believe that I have achieved it and let it play in my mind over and over again. That is the law of attraction. Beside that I think I must have a self coaching session for myself.  In this self coaching session, I must have my goals clearly written down, develop my strategies, overcome my obstacles and on top of it all, the way to celebrate my achievement along the way.

With regular self coaching , I believe I can condition my mind to think positively and every little achievement should be celebrated to keep myself going. Well I think that’s the way to go to achieve my dreams of working from home.

It has been my dream of able to quit my day job one day. But quitting the day job

is not easy unless you have something to fall back on. Even if you have another stream of income flowing into your life, quitting does not come just at the snap of a finger. There are a lot of factors that need to be considered. It is not an easy decision to make. Do not make decision when you are at the height of your emotional roller coastal. Emotional decision may not be a good decision and most people will regret it later in their life.

JD has penned down his experience in his blog Get Rich Slowly which I believe will help a lot of people who dream of quitting the day job. He expressed his honest feeling, the fear and anxities as well as his excitement of quitting his day job to go full time working on his sites. He built his sites on a natural progress and it came to a day when the sites demanded more of his time and he decided to go full force in building them. No doubt there were fears of trading the certainty for the uncertain future. But he was prepared for the worst case scenario just in case and he has a plan well laid out.

I have learned a lot from him and I am building my blog slowly and hopefully like him getting rich slowly and quit my day job one day in the future.

Received an email from Pay Per Post a few days ago. Not a good one though. I was informed that my application to submit my blog to Pay Per Post was rejected. Reason being that my blog was too young to participate in their marketplace. They have a condition that a new blog submitted for approval must be at least 90 days old counting from the first post.

Well, guess I will just have to wait and be patient. In the mean time, I will continue to write to build up my blog and admiring other bloggers’ earnings. My turn will come when I can participate. I felt just like a baby learning how to crawl and can’t wait to be able to walk on my own. That is frustrating! A new blog does not mean that it is inferior compared to older blogs. It can be just as good if not better. But rules are rules and guess they are to be followed. So got to wait until my blog grows older. But then again, aren’t rules meant to be broken?

It is my dream to make money from my blog and to be a SOHO guy. But how much money can I make online? How long do I have to wait before I can really see some fruits of my labour? Well I guess perseverance is the keyword.

It is a consolation to read that Darren Rowse in his early blogging career didn’t make that much either. He was close to giving up but he saw that the percentage of increase in income grew each month and it was an indication that there might be real potential reward at the end of it. What made him a successful blogger today is his perseverance.

Well that’s is a real motivation for me. I may just achieve my dream after all

I went to a bookshop yesterday and got myself two books entitled The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Growing Your Business With Google by Dave Taylor and Secrets Of The Internet Millionaires by Stuart Tan.

I started reading the Idiot book first. Does buying the book make me an idiot because the title of the book suggests so? Even if the cashier at the counter assumes so, I wouldn’t mind. The book is packed with information about how the Google search engine works and also other essentials information for  building a successful business online. I need to know all these in order to improve my sites page-rank.  I would be an idiot if I don’t buy this book. So I guess I am not an idiot anyhow.

I have yet to read the other book, Secrets Of The Internet Millionaires. But it promises to deliver tons of information on how to tap into massive online profits in easy steps. It exposes the internet millionaires habits and strategies and make it easy to understand in easy step-by-step guide, even for beginners. Hope it lives up to its claims.

Reading the books itself may not get me anywhere if I don’t apply what I learn. But I do hope that the authors did not hold back essentials information needed to be successful online like what most internet gurus did. That is usually their tricks to entice you to buy more from them if you want more information. Well that is one of their secrets of getting rich online.

My wife has been working  in the same bank for 14 years. This morning out of frustration, she asked when are we going to earn our first million so that she can stop working?

First million! Sounded impossible unless we hit a fortune. But thinking positively, why not? There are people making such an amount online.  It is just a matter of know how. I am going to learn to do so. It may take some time and perseverance.

There are just so much to learn.  For the past few weeks, I have put in many hours of research and learning. Working late into the night. Lacking of sleep but still got to wake up early to go work. I am telling myself, hang on there. This is going to be temporary. I am proud of myself that within those few weeks,  now I have 3 blogs up and running. Now it is time to announce to the whole world and actively participate in the blogging community Making money from blogs. It is definitely possible. Many people are making good money blogging.

It is always my dream that one day I can just stop going to work. I hate the rush hours and traffic jam. Time is so limited. Waking up early in the morning, get ready and leave for work. By the time we reach home after work, it is already late at night. Before we can find time to unwind, it is time to go to bed and the routine starts all over again the next morning.  Boring…..boring……. Well that’s the reality of life.

Work from home concept is catching up. It is exciting to set up a small office at home by turning one of the bedroom into a working place which I called “home office”. The idea of waking up, wash up and get ready to go work by just walking to the next room really hit me hard on the head. I told myself that this is what I want to achieve and now I am working hard on it.

There are people who make tons of money online. I just have to know how they did it and follow them. But their success is a well guarded secret. So until I can unlock their secret vault, I just have to keep exploring and searching. And one day, my office will just be my room next door.
